【NWU Graduation Ceremony】 Congratulations to our Graduates!

Nagasaki Wesleyan University held its 27th Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, March 13th 2021. We congratulate our graduates for completing their studies at Wesleyan. The graduating class has experienced turbulent times as students due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

University President Sato gave a commencement speech encouraging graduates to reflect on their experiences at Wesleyan and to continue in preparation for their future. Chancellor Kan spoke on life challenges such as unexpected natural disasters and calamities. His message to the graduates was about the importance of accepting and learning from the challenges one will face in life.

Students graduating with honor having received a GPA higher than 3.5 as well as students with exceptional academic performance on their graduate thesis research were individually acknowledged during the ceremony. Selected graduate scholars from each department were also given honors in the ceremony.

A speech was made by a graduating student representative on behalf of the graduating class. Graduating student representative gave a heartfelt speech thanking the university staff and the local community for their support. The student spoke about the challenges shared by students and appreciation for the opportunity to complete her studies at Wesleyan.

The graduation ceremony closed with the singing of the hymn “God be with you till we meet again” followed by certificates and commemorative flowers presented to the graduating students by the head of each department. Nagasaki Wesleyan University congratulates you on your achievements and we wish you all the best for your future!
