Greetings, language explorers! Today, we’re venturing into the realm of active and passive voice. These two voices give us different perspectives on the action in our sentences. Let’s embark on this journey of discovery–consider the following examples:
- Active Voice: She wrote a letter to her friend.
- Passive Voice: The letter was written by her friend.
In active voice, the subject performs the action, while in passive voice, the subject receives the action. Each voice has its own strengths, so choose wisely based on what you want to emphasize in your writing or speech!
