Students in the Department of Foreign Language’s Community Service Learning (CSL) program were asked to share their thoughts about the university. The fourth and final question presented to the students is:
“What advice would you like to give to new students?”

I thought I should study English more So, I advise you to review your English before entering the school.

My advice for the new students, to study hard and focus on the Japanese language and improve the Japanese language skills which help communicate with the Japanese people, teachers, students, and Japanese friends.

You need to decide your main goal, such as pass the license exam, complete the teacher training course, part-time job, and so on. Anything’s OK! You may find many interesting things in the university. It is very good, but you shouldn’t lose the real goal that you want to do. If you forget it, you may question why you entered university here. So, please remember your main goal. It will become the key to enjoy your great school life.

This university is best for beginners to learn Japanese and for those who loves nature. It is because this university is located a bit far from the noisy area and it is fully decorated with trees all around so that anyone can breathe fresh air anytime as long as you are in this university.

What I’d like to give to new students is to try to everything which they will be interested in something a little bit, and they don’t have to be afraid of making mistakes. By making mistakes again and again, this is the short cut to become successful. There are several programs in this university, but they will not be able to do anything they want to do because of Corona Virus. However, there are things they will can do somewhere, so I want them to try many things positively.
