On Friday, November 5, the 6 combined local Lions Club chapters in Isahaya made a gracious financial donation to NWU international students. The financial donation was followed by food donations of rice and canned goods. A ceremony for the donation event was held in the Peace Chapel at Nagasaki Wesleyan University. International students and university staff attended with Lions Club representatives. Introductions and touching speeches were given by Lions Club members followed by heartfelt speeches given by international student representatives. We offer our sincere appreciation to the Lions Club for their charity and kindness. This act of charity will always be remembered. This donation helps the many international students who have been economically challenged during this coronavirus pandemic. We give our thanks to the generosity of the Lions Club for their donations and support.
